This series showing MNC Methodist New Connexion churches
Here is Shelley Bank Methodist New Connexion Church near Huddersfield. Opened on Whit Sunday 1785 and seceded to the Methodist New Connexion in 1797. An organ loft was added mid-nineteenth century. It is now one of the oldest Methodist chapels still in use.
This is how it looked in 1999

Comments about this page
Photographs of the chapel in 1898 and a hundred years later in 1999 have been added.
I’ve combined a second page on Shelley Far Bank Methodist New Connexion chapel with this one.
The chapel is a grade II Listed Building. You can read the formal description here.
The chapel is wider than it is long and has galleries on three sides.
