Bethel United Methodist Free Church carries an 1853 date plaque . Built of hammer-dressed stone, with a slate roof, it has a square footprint with a Sunday School rear wing. Internally there is a horse shoe shaped gallery and it retains its box pews. It is a Grade II Listed Building and you can read a description here.
The society is still active in 2021 as an independent Methodist church.
