Malin Bridge Methodist New Connexion Chapel was built in 1834.                                                    In 1901 the premises consisted of a chapel and a school. Construction and subsequent enlargements had cost £250. A further £73 had been spent on an organ or other instrument. The chapel seated 650 and the school 70.
After St. Mark’s chapel  opened in 1905 this building was used as a Sunday school. By 1935 it was simply labelled as a hall
The chapel was situated in a prominent position at the junction of Wisewood Lane and Loxley Road.
