Stapleford, Nottingham Road Chapel was built in 1861 at an unknown cost. It seated 250. When the new chapel opened in 1883 it became a schoolroom.

The report of the opening in the Methodist New Connexion Magazine 1862 (pp321-322) suggests that this building always was a school room.
“The buildings consist of a school-room, 48 feet by 38 feet; a vestry, 20 feet by 13 feet; and suitable out-offices etc. The total cost, including platform, cupboards, forms, writing-desks and other fittings is £530.”
