Small Heath United Methodist chapel was on the corner of Muntz Street and Wright Street.
The 1888 Ordnance Survey map shows the chapel already in existence, and labels it as a United Methodist Free Churches society. As well as the chapel at the junction, there was a Sunday school building a little further east on the southern side of Wright Street.
The buildings are both still there on later maps; indeed, by the 1939 map, there is a second Sunday school building behind the first one. In Street View from 2008, the chapel has disappeared, but the original Sunday school still exists, as a nursery. We could do with a picture for this page.
The 1940 Inventory of Methodist buildings records the chapel as brick built, seating 324 people on pews, and with a Sunday school and 11 other rooms. The Inventory records that the main chapel building had been sold since 1932 and had suffered wartime damage.
