Edge Hill United Methodist Free Church chapel first appears on Ordnance Survey maps between the 1886 and 1901 editions. The footprint is unchanged on the 1921 map.
The chapel is included in the Inventory of Methodist buildings compiled after Methodist Union in 1932 and published in 1940, when it was in the Tamworth and Lichfield circuit. It is described as brick-built and seating 100 people on chairs. There was just the one main room.
On the site in 2009 Street View shows a large detached house.
