The Bahu Centre, at the corner of Ombersley Road with Woodfield Road, opposite the former Mozart piano factory, is a former United Methodist chapel.
Ombersley Street itself does not exist on the 1888 Ordnance Survey map. By the 1913 map the area has been developed into a grid pattern of streets and the chapel is in place.
The 1940 Inventory of Methodist buildings contains an entry for Ombersley Road. It is described as brick built, seating 420 people on pews. In addition to the main hall, there was a Sunday school and two other rooms. In 1940 it was in the Birmingham Moseley Road circuit. It is also recorded as having suffered war damage.
