Providence Bible Christian chapel in Lovington is not included in the 1867 register of places of religious worship, but it is marked on the 1885 Ordnance Survey map. It is still marked on the 1902 map in the same location but with a larger building extending further north east.
In 2024, that larger building is there with many recognisable chapel features. It has been extended in an L shape to the rear of the property.
The 1940 Inventory of Methodist Buildings tells us that the building was stone built and seated 72 people on pews. In addition to the main hall there was a Sunday school room. In 1940 it was part of the Somerset Mission circuit.
