Ashton Gate UMFC chapel was built in 1875. A report of the stone laying stated that
“The chapel will accommodate about 250 persons, its width being 32ft. and length 47ft. The building will be in the Italian style. It will be constructed of Pennant stone and Combe dressings. Mr Isaac Bennett is the builder and Mr W H Clark the architect”
