Parton, Bank Yard Road United Methodist Free Church Chapel was built of stone in 1861. The original building and improvements up to 1923, when it had 200 sittings, had cost £200. In 1940 it had 120 sittings on pews. In 1980 there were 100 sittings in the chapel and there was one other room and in 1991 108 sittings and one other room. The chapel has since been demolished and the site is now wasteland,
