Normanton United Methodist Free Church chapel was built in 1872. A report of its opening stated that it
“is a substantial red brick building with stone dressings, open stained roof, and stained deal fittings, and Foster of Normanton is the contractor for the whole work for £710″

Can anyone throw any light as to the location of this chapel? There were no UMFC chapels in Normanton itself. There was a chapel on Normanton Common: Hopetown,Pontefract Road, which could seat 272. Would that be the one?
