Sidlesham, Chichester, West Sussex, England, United Kingdom

The chapel at Sidlesham is definitely occupied by the Bible Christians in 1851. William Hill, the minister in Chichester is named on the return, which is signed by the manager, William Stevens. He stated that the chapel was built in 1824, and could accommodate 80 worshippers. the actual congregations on 30th March 1851 were 30 in the afternoon , and 48 in the evening.

The 1867 list of buildings registered for public worship does not include one in Sidlesham, but within six years a chapel in Mill Lane , Sidlesham (accommodating 80) is listed in the Wesleyan returns of accommodation. All subsequent sources, including maps, state or show that the Methodist chapel in this settlement was Wesleyan.
