Mount Calvary Bible Christian chapel is in Pett Street, Pett, and was erected in 1848. Like other Bible Christian chapels in this part of Sussex it was missioned from Kent, and was in the Tenterden Circuit.
In 1851 the return to the Religious Census recorded that it could seat 106. It was noted that 67 worshippers attended in the afternoon and 70 in the evening. later estimates of accommodation were 85 in 1940, and 96 in 1970.
The chapel is now a listed building, and there is a photograph taken by Keith Guyler in 1987 on the British Methodist Buildings website
Pett is still an active Methodist church, as can be seen by their website which provides details of a much fuller written history of the chapel.
