Wilnecote United Methodist chapel first appears on Ordnance Survey maps between the 1901 and 1921 editions – whilst the Wesleyan Methodist chapel a little further west at the end of Wilnecote Lane disappears between the same two editions.
Street View shows a residential block, Tanarus Court, on the site from 2009.
The Inventory of Methodist buildings compiled after Methodist Union in 1932 and published in 1940 describes Wilnecote United Methodist chapel as brick build and seating 225 people on pews. In addition to the main hall there was a Sunday school and one other room. In 1940 it was in the Tamworth and Lichfield circuit.
