Five Ways, Methodist New Connexion mission chapel was built in 1884.A report of the opening in October stated that the chapel
“geometrical Gothic in style, and is built of red pressed bricks, with Gunshill stone dressings, and the roof is covered with Carmarthenshire slates of two tints. It seats 500 persons, and cost £3000. Mr Richard Owen, Crosshall Street, Liverpool was the architect , and Messrs H Dowse and Sons of Cradley Heath, were the builders”
