We are told that the Bible Christians purchased a tin chapel in the new neighbourhood of Kilburn in 1875. Starting with a membership of 15, the congregation grew to 70 in 1878, despite the site being on a new estate. As still occurs, the roads came last! They then felt the time had come to ask Mr Ranger to plan a new building, and the images shows what he proposed. At the time of the article they had yet to raise the funds, but in a later volume of the Magazine we are informed the chapel opened in 1880.

It could accommodate 390.  The congregations were counted one Sunday in 1902-1903, and we are told 49 adults and 32 children attended in the morning, and 123 adults and 43 children in the evening. These figures are very respectable.

The chapel closed for Methodist use in 1948, but was taken over by the Roman Catholics and has been rebuilt to form the convent marked on the map.
