Neate Street/Albany Road, Zion Chapel Methodist New Connection Chapel was built before 1861. The ground plan of 1871 shows it to have been a plain building and lighted only by a pair of windows at the front. There was a two storey building behind the chapel. The ground floor was divided into two rooms and described in 1871 as an “Infant School”. In 1901 the premises consisted of a chapel and a school whose construction and subsequent enlargements had cost £800. A further £12 had been spent on an organ or other instrument. The chapel seated 150 and the school 100. It appears to have been closed by 1940
