This is probably the school chapel on Bower Road. The Methodist New Connexion Magazine gives full accounts of the laying of the stones on May 29 1880 and the opening on October 14 1880. They clearly did not hang about in the West Riding.

Felling Shore Methodist New Connexion
I found an old book in my loft, titled Bears and Dacoits by G.A Henty, with a hand written inscription :
“Presented to Samuel Smith by the teachers of the Felling Shore Methodist Infant Sunday School Xmas 1913”
I wonder if this is of interest to the organisation?
