Providence Methodist Chapel in the parish of Throwleigh still carries its datestone inscribed Bible Christian Chapel, 1839.. It is a Grade II Listed building and the Historic England website comments that it is said to have been built at the expense of R.D.Gay of nearby Providence Place. In time it became Providence Methodist chapel and on Street View in 2009 appears resplendent in residential use.
