On October 20th 1861 the United Methodist Free Churches began preaching in a loft; opposite the New Lifeboat house in St Ives.
It was noted that they had the only morning service in that part of the town.
St Ives Methodist history is very confusing, with lots of chopping and changing. So far I have not managed to like this reference to any of the other chapel histories but it is likely they joined another chapel (possibly Bedford Road).
