There was a Teetotal Wesleyan Methodist cause in Sheffield form 1845, and a chapel was built in 1856. The congregation later joined the Methodist New Connexion, the United Methodist Chuch in 1907, and the Methodist Church in 1932. The chapel closed in 1955.
