The Bible Christian presence on the largest of the Isles of Scilly dates back to 1830, when a chapel was built on Church Road. It was replaced by a larger chapel, designed by the local architect A.J. Trenear, in 1900. The former chapel then became a Sunday School. The later chapel continues in use as a Methodist Church.
The story is told on Mapping Methodism
