Dorothy Dymond was born on 27th November 1906 in Tung-Chuan, Yunnan, the third daughter of the Bible Christian missionaries Francis John Dymond and Maud Marie Cannon.
She went out to China herself as a nurse in 1936, working in Hunnan until 1950
Dorothy died in July 1993 in Bath.
