Carlton Hill United Methodist Free Church chapel and school, Nottinghamshire

Carlton Hill United Methodist Free Church chapel and school were in a single building which was built of brick in 1888 at a cost of £500 plus £40 for a pipe organ. The chapel seated about 200. In 1940 the chapel estate consisted of the chapel which seated 175 on forms, a school hall and one other room.

  • This building is still being used as a church. It is an evangelical free church, not being connected to any particular denomination.
    It is in good order but we are at the moment re roofing the building as age and the recent high winds have taken their toll.
    If you wish to join with us our service begins at 10-30 a:m on a Sunday morning.
    If any early pictures exist we would love to see them?
