An email to another Methodist community website from the group using the former Wesleyan Methodist chapel in Ecclesfield led to the discovery of a former United Methodist chapel in the same village, on Town End Road.
The 1890 and 1900 Ordnance Survey maps show it as belonging to the Methodist New Connexion. It is still labelled as such on the 1921 map, even though the Methodist New Connexion disappeared into the United Methodist church in 1907.
By the 1935 map it is simply labelled “Hall”.
A note in the Chapels Society newsletter of May 2015 puts forward the idea that after it closed as a MNC chapel, it went into use by the Quakers.
Street View shows the former chapel in residential use, with few remaining external chapel features.

By 1901 £450 had been spent on the original construction and the subsequent enlargement of the chapel which seated 250. A further £20. had been spent on purchasing an organ. In 1973 the building was occupied by the Full Gospel Mission (Pentecostal)

In the course of reviewing another comment I have come to the conclusion that, like many Methodist chapels, Ecclesfield United Methodist (as it became) built a new church on the new High Greave estate, and moved there in 1926. The new church is described here
The evidence for this is
a) this church ceases to be marked as such after 1921.
b) this church would have been in competition with the Wesleyan chapel at the otehr end of Ecclesfield, whereas the new estates were unchurched
c) the baptismal records of Ebenezer United Methodist Church are held by Sheffield Archives, and run uninterupted from 1906 to 1998.
Ecclesfield MNC Chapel was built in 1834. In 1851 it provided 50 free and 120 other sittings
