Editorial note:

This chapel was built in 1874 to designs by R.F. Rogerson, who also designed Brighouse, Park UMFC chapel. It could accommodate 150, reduced to 120 by 1970.  It is still in use as a Methodist chapel. See the church website for details, and a photograph.
