There was a chapel here in 1898

Editorial note:
We do not have a date for the opening of this chapel. Can anyone help? It first appears on Ordnance Survey maps in 1891, and continues to appear until 1964. It does not appear in the Methodist statistical returns for 1970, and as the last entry in the deposited marriage register is from 1968 that seems to be a likely date for closure.
The Ordnance Survey plan gives the number of seats as 380, but by 1940 it was thought to seat 250. A photograph of the building may be viewed here
