Barnsley New Street Methodist New Connection Chapel

Barnsley, New Street Methodist New Connection Chapel was built in 1805. In 1851 it provided 140 free and 340 other sittings. It probably closed in 187.. when Ebebezer chapel opened in Sheffield Road. The ground plan of 1850 shows an unusual internal layout with seating and a rostrum in the centre of the building and apparently separate rooms along the sides and behind the rostrum.
