Berry Brow Methodist New Connexion chapel (i) was built before 1861, It was demolished in the 1880s so that a new chapel could be built on the site.

  • David Firth commented on the previous version of this page on 19 December 2021:
    One of my relatives – Abel Firth- was baptised in the chapel on 5 October 1835. Abel was born on 1 September 1830.

    According to Huddersfield Exposed the original chapel was built in 1824. The baptismal register begins in 1826 (TNA RG4/3929)
