Cutty Lane Methodist New Connection chapel was built in 187… . In 1901 the premises consisted of a chapel and a school. Construction and subsequent enlargements had cost £1575. A further £120 had been spent on an organ or other instrument. The chapel seated 150 and the school 200. These details were largely confirmed in 1940 and 1970 subject to a slight fall in seating accommodation and an increase in the number of other rooms from three in 1940 to six in 1970
