Bury Parkhills Road United Methodist Free Churches chapel

Parkhills Road UMFC chapel and school were built in 1883. A report of the opening stated that:

“It is a neat Gothic building and is intended to be used as a day and Sunday school for 350 scholars and will be used temporarily as a chapel. The works have been carried out in an excellent manner by John Inman, builder, Fishpool, Bury from plans, and under the supervision of Messrs Maxwell, Tuke, and Hurst, architects, Southport. The same firm of Architects has also prepared plans for a chapel to seat 800 persons, which is intended to be built on a large plot of land adjacent to the before mentioned schools”
