Moorside United Free Methodist Chapel was built of stone before 1898. In 1940 the chapel estate consisted of the chapel which seated 170 in pews, a school hall and no other rooms. The chapel and adjacent Sunday school were situated on the south side of Moorside Lane behind a block of houses. Maps show the building as Methodist in 1970 but it seems to have been closed around that time.
