Dronfield United Methodist Free Church

The community centre known as the Peel Centre on Dronfield High Street is the former Dronfield United Methodist Free Church. The Peel Centre Trust is  a registered charity, formed in 1993 to accept the generous gift of this well-known and prominent town centre building from Dronfield Free Church Trustees.

Dronfield United Methodist Free Church was built in 1863 of coal measures sandstone  and a Welsh slated roof.  It consists of two storeys above a basement. The front gable has a plaque saying , an inscribed plaque ‘UNITED METHODIST FREE CHURCH 1863’.

Because of its position in a group of buildings, it is Grade II Listed.  You can read the description and see a picture here.
