This chapel was one of those occupied by the Derby based Arminian Methodist Connexion. They worshipped here from 1834 to 1843, when the building was sold to the Primitive Methodists.
They subsequently sold the building to a Swedenborgian congregation who remained until 1901, as can be seen on the map.
