Zion MNC Chapel was built in 1860 and seated 350. A school seating 450 was added in 1884. In 1923 it was not known how much had been spent on the original construction, alterations and extensions.

Glossop, Simmondley Lane MNC was built in 1860 at a cost of £1000 and seated 300. In 1894-5 it was described as “a plain stone building”. The adjoining day school cost £1300. It had mixed and infants departments and could accommodate 400 but by 1894-5 the attendance was nearer 125
