Macclesfield, Park Street Methodist New Connection Chapel was built in 1836. In 1940 there was seating for 1500 in pews and a schoolroom and seven other rooms. It is now in residential use

The baptismal register for the predecessor to this church contains 122 bqptisms dating to between 1819 and 1837.

This is a good question. The chapel was sold in the 1950s to a printing company, so the question is when the graves were removed. The Burials Act prohibits removal of remains without a licence, so the local authority should have a record.
What happened to the graves/gravestones originally in the Chapel yard? My 3rd great grandfather, Joseph Leah, was laid to rest there in 1846.
