  • The Derby Mercury for Wednesday 30th 1900 reports the laying of Memorial Stones for the new chapel on the previous Saturday. Sir Henry Bemrose addressed the gathering and in passing mentioned this was the 320th chapel that John Wills had designed.
    There is a superb black and white photo of the new chapel in B. A. M. Alger’s History of the Derby & District Affiliated Free Churches, 1901.
