Holloway United Methodist Free Church chapel was enlarged in 1879. The building work was carried out by Mr W Limb of Ambergate and the woodwork for new seating in the gallery and the rostrum was was carried out by Messrs Wheeldon Bros of Belper. At the same time a new heating system invented by the architect, Mr Eyre of Condor was installed
