Belfast Salem Methodist New Connexion chapel in York Street dates from 1839. It replaced a smaller meeting house in the same street.
It was sold to the Methodist Church in Ireland in 1905 for £2,000 and became the headquarters of North Belfast Mission. In 1907 it was renamed The People’s Hall.
The information here comes from the Index of Irish Methodist Churches, Chapels and Preaching Houses
