The Index of Irish Methodist Churches, Chapels and Preaching Houses reports that the Methodist New Connexion had a chapel in Clementine Street, Belfast. The foundation stone was laid on September 19th 1881 and the chapel was opened the following year. The architect was John James Phillips, (1841/42-1936) and the Builder was J. J. Guiler
In 1904 the chapel was sold to the Wesleyan Methodists.
