A Wesleyan chapel of 1823 was likely taken over by the Reform movement as nothing more is heard of it after 1851.

The Reformers opened their own chapel on 28th December 1858 under the auspices of the United Methodist Free Churches (United Methodist Church from 1907). Guest preacher at the dedication was the Revd John Mann of Norwich.

The building, on Beeston Road, was constructed by Messrs Brown of Attleborough and Lewis Emery of Sheringham – he was a boat builder who probably did the joinery. George Riches of Cromer provided the plans.

It closed in 1968 on the opening of Saint Andrew’s Methodist Church, Cromer Road.

Now converted into a dwelling, it has a modern extension on the front gable end where the original entrance, and arched window above it, were previously visible.
