A school room was built in 1881. A report of the stone laying stated that
“The plans were prepared by Mr Wm. Thompson of St George’s and the building contract had been let to Messrs Williams and Peacock who will complete in January. The building is to be of a similar style with the chapel—Pennant stone with freestone dressings—is estimated to cost £1000. On the ground floor there will be one large schoolroom and a vestry, and above this there will be five classrooms providing accommodation for about 800 children”.
