Shirebrook United Methodist Free Church Chapel was built of brick in 1900. The school which was on the ground floor seated 100 and the chapel above 250. The building cost £750 and the organ, piano, seats etc a further £1,000. In 1940 the estate consisted of a chapel which seated 300 on forms, a school hall and three other rooms. It had probably closed by 1970
