Mount Pleasant chapel in Hayle served three denominations: the Teetotal Methodists between 1843 and 1852, the same congregation as part of the Methodist New Connexion between 1852 and 1871, and then the United Methodist Free Churches who bought the building in 1871 and occupied it until 1960.
