Haslingden Salem Regent Street United Methodist Free Church
United Methodist Free Churches Magazine 25, 1882
The account of this chapel from the UMFC Magazine tells us that, unusually, the congregation had left the Primitive Methodists. This large chapel was designed for them by the prolific Methodist architect, Edward Potts, and it could seat 750. As the article makes clear the Free Methodists in Haslingden had felt they were not competing with other chapels in terms of size.
This building closed in 1962. Any information about its work would be appreciated.
