Ebenezer Wesleyan Reform chapel on what was Hunt Street in Oldbury appears on the 1882 Ordnance Survey map – as does the larger Tabernacle Methodist New Connexion chapel nearby on Tabernacle Street Street. Hunt Street,  Both chapels are on the 1938 map, even though many Wesleyan Reform Methodist societies joined with the Methodist New Connexion to form the United Methodist church in 1907.  Hunt Street, Tabernacle Street and both chapels no longer exist.

The Wesleyan Reform movement started in 1849 but split in 1857 with part staying independent and part becoming part of the United Methodist Free Churches.  What’s the story in Oldbury?
