Rose Hill United Methodist Free Church

Still an active church today

Although opened as a Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in 1836, this congregation aligned with the Reform movement and by the end of 1860 was listed on the Oxford United Methodist Free Church plan.

The leading supporter of the Chapel, Henry Leake, who had been instrumental in the building of the chapel, bought it back from the Wesleyan Methodist Church in 1860, although he himself, no longer lived in the area.
