“A new external roof has been erected, and the old gallery replaced by a new one running round three sides of the chapel, all the seating in the gallery, as well as panelled front being new and of pitch pine; the windows have been reglazed and provided with stained glass margins; a new gallery staircase of stone, and new pulpit rostrum of pitch pin and mahogany have been constructed. Mr A H Goodall of Nottingham, was the architect, and the contractor were Messrs Wartnaby and Son of Grantham”
