The Teetotal Methodists opened a chapel at Connor Downs in 1845. In time they joined the Wesleyan Methodist Assocation, which in turn became the United Methodist Free Churches. Around 1880 a new chapel was built, which reamined in use to 1975. The story of these chapels is told on Mapping Methodism
