Chapels of the United Methodist Free Churches 1898

list from The Free Methodist Manual

Lists of United Methodist chapels are not as common as for some denominations, so we are fortunate that the United Methodist Free Churches marked their Diamond Jubilee by publishing the Free Methodist Manual. The Work contains full details of most aspects of the Connexion’s work, including this list of all their places of worship. This quotation explains the structure of the list.

“The following list is made up of 1249 Chapels and 62 Preaching Rooms, printed in the alphabetical order of the Circuits. The names of the Circuits are given in SMALL CAPITALS ; the names of Town Chapels, or the Streets in which they are situated, in Italics. In London, and several other large cities and towns, the postal address of the Chapels is furnished. This will be found convenient for strangers and visitors, The figure placed in brackets after the name of the Circuit indicates the number of the District to which it belongs.
